Human Retinol-binding protein 4 Mab
The Mouse Anti-Human Retinol-Binding Protein 4 (RBP4) Monoclonal Antibody is designed to specifically target RBP4, a crucial protein that transports vitamin A (retinol) in the bloodstream. RBP4, part of the lipocalin family, facilitates the transfer of retinol from liver stores to peripheral tissues. It also binds to transthyretin (TTR) in plasma, preventing the glomerular filtration of RBP4 in the kidneys. The RBP4:TTR ratio serves as an indirect marker for vitamin A deficiency. Although originally recognized as a transporter protein, recent studies have linked elevated RBP4 levels in adipose tissue to insulin resistance, implicating RBP4 in the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes and obesity. This monoclonal antibody is valuable for research related to vitamin A metabolism, obesity, and diabetes. - 100 ug
